My father was feeling a bit sick tonight… And since he missed having me cook for him, I decided to treat him with a little warm dinner using lemon because it’s good for his immune system, pasta because he asked for it and meat because he says the proteins will help him get better…. The choice was easy and the menu was: pasta al limon and meat.
The way he likes the meat: Medium Rare, Grilled with olive oil and a bit of salt + cracked pepper.
Pasta al Limon Ingredients:
- 500 g of pasta (for 3 people as a main course or 5 as a side dish) – I used fresh tagliatelle.
- 50g of butter
- Zest of one Lemon
- Juice of one Lemon
- 200 ml of cooking cream
- Chopped parsley (optional) or basil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Parmesan to serve
Boil the pasta as indicated on the pack in a large bowl of boiling water + salt + the rest of the lemon (after the zest has been removed and the juice extracted)
Meanwhile, in a small pan: Butter + Lemon Juice + Cream
Drain the pasta and keep a bit of water to be mixed to the creamy mix
Stir in the sauce and then serve immediately after sprinkling the parsley and the parmesan
Small note: Always remember that with cream you should always stir in the same direction.
